I would have purchased this bell jar locally, but it probably isn't a very high demand item and isn't worthy of local shelf space due to low demand. Made from very strong, clear borosilicate glass, the clarity and color of the glass is perfect for displaying an antique Santa Claus statue my wife inherited from her grandmother. Purchased from an Asian Amazon seller it arrived at our front door in a week and a half from China. Good price, quality item and pretty fast shipping. Only wish it was American made. ---- Allen
